Hey there.
I am a complete noob.
Currently I am assembling my desktop for the 1st time and have bought the following things -
logitech mouse,logitech keyboard,philips speakers [as these arent impt, I am not specifying model no.]
i7 3770k processor
4 gb [2 and 2] transcend ddr3 ram
500 gb WD internal HD.
Dell 20'' LED monitor.


Now, I can spend another MAX 11 k and i want to buy appropriate mobo/cabinet/psu and gfx card if possible. Plz also remind me if I ve forgot to buy something [LOL]. I mainly use the desktop for video editing - vegas pro 11 and gaming.

9.5K is too less if you want Gpu that can handle high res gaming and Video Editing..

If you do video Editing then better double the ram you have at present.. and better if you bought 1600 mhz ram as you might know too ram plays very important role in Video Editing.

Basically I have 11k. So as u say,I ll get an extra 4gb in 1.4 k and lets exclude the GPU - i ll buy it next year. But could you be more specific on which cabinet,psu and mo-bo[preferably 4 memory slots] should i buy in say the remaining 8.5k.

Since you have bought a K series processor , it is Recommended to buy a Z77 Mobo .
Gigabyte Sniper Z77 @ 11K would be the perfect mobo Choice .
Your budget is very very low buddy. Try to increase it.

processor you have selected, to harness it's complete potential you need a good motherbaord..

plus you need good PSU that can support your future GPU .. as recently I bought corsair GS600 that costed me 4.8K.. so now 10K -1.4K(ram)-4.8K(GPU)- 2K (for good cabinet which has good airflow..) or 1K for any basic cabinet = so you got just 1.8K or 2.8K

so now please share how much you can add for motherboard.. ..

you are huge downside with budget. As you can see you are not getting mobo in the provided 10K after considering the PSU RAM and cabinet. You should have bought 3570K with some decent mobo

I can still get my processor changed. I ve not opened it as of now. I ve decided not to overclock as i am not quite acquainted with it; So i am anyway going to change it. Help me out.

FINAL VERDICT - I HAVE 2 OPTIONS, HELP ME OUT GUYS.
OPTION 1 - I STICK WITH i7.
In this case, I have 11 k for mo-bo,psu and cabinet.

1. Core i5 3570 and Corsair 2x 4GB DDr3 Ram to save at-least ~300 bucks
with rest of the 16k get Asus P8B75-V @ 6.6k, Corsair CX500v2 @ 3.2k and HD6770 @ ~6k.
