if you're using Kaspersky AV/IS, then this thread might be helpful.
RediffMail & Kaspersky 6.0

& if you're using ZoneAlarm Firewall, then under Privacy-> "Main" (tab) -> Cookie Control -> Off (move the slider down to turn it off.)

Oh thanks. I am using KIS. Just installed it this morning. So it was blocking me...

I solved the problem by using s18000rpm's method. Thanks a lot...

Now I am facing another problem its not related to Rediff but..

Ok here it is :
If I unproperly restart my computer ScanDisk should run. But its not running.
I found that there are no file named chkdsk.exe . I restored it frm disk but I am still facing this problem.

press
windows + r (for opening run)
type cmd
then in command prompt
typewithout quotes
"chkdsk"
see whether it checks your system or not
than type without quotes
chkdsk /?
& read the details & select appropriate option as per your need

KIS block many sites like rediff & also block some windows like "file attachment window"
so if u go to
Settings > Network Settings > Port Settings
& uncheck port 80 than it will work fine

@Shalu_Sharma

yes, what satyamy wrote will show u whether u really have the file missing or not, and suppose if u realy have the file missing, then go to start, RUN, and type SFC /SCANNOW, System File Checker utlity will check for any missing or curropt file to restore it back :D

Note for this command, u will need to have the Windows XP, installation CD or Source in hand :D
