Recovering windows 7 (hp laptop)

One of my friend having a problem he has 5 partition on his laptop
The 5th partition is the recovery partition of the hp (Windows 7)

Now his windows 7 is not working giving bsod. He wants to use, recover the system to the factory default but it is not working as i think the disk structure is modified as hp has only have 2 partition (One is the C drive and the other partition is for recovery). So is there is any way to recovery the computer to factory default

is there a recovery cd?

the bios reads the second part as recovery and if it is not found then 2 dvds r required to restore the system.

He ordered the recovery disk from hp hope to get the recovery disk in 2 to 3 days

I don't think anything except courier fees will be charged.

As far as i know no charges. They just take the address and say they will courier the recovery cd's
