recommend me a good graphics card

My pc has
4gb RAM
PCI express 1.0 x 16 slot
2.93 ghz processor speed
400 watts power supply..
i got my psu with iball cabinet..
i reviously tried msi n9600gt but it didnt work.

9600gt needs a PCI-E power connector(which is absent in most of the generic PSU models) and a decent PSU. If you are thinking about a decent GPU, you have to upgrade your PSU first.

yup, you need to get a good PSU first. Only then consider an upgrade.

An fsp saga II 400 is very good at 1.6k-1.7k. It can easily handle future upgrades upto a radeon 6850 class card.
