I think your PC has DDR1 RAM and you could expand it up-to 2GB.
And a 1GB DDR1 Stick now a days cost 2.2k where as today one can buy 4GB DDR3 RAM for 2.1k.
So, IMO save up a little bit and upgrade your PC.

Then why cant I upgrade RAM to 4GB as its also less priced ? :!:

Dude, you have DDR1 RAM where as the RAM you are talking about is DDR3. So, to go for DDR3 RAM you have to go for a complete system overhaul.

That mobo is having 2 DDR2 slots with maximum of 4 GB support but they run in single channel mode. So you can get a 2 GB DDR2 module @ 1.4K from Kingston/Transcend and add it to make the total ram as 3 GB. Try to find 667 MHz ram but it is little hard today as most of them come with 800 MHz speed.

I think you mean more brands for ram by saying more Rams because size wize your mobo doesn't support more than 4 GB. There are some high end OCZ and Corsair rams are available but their price is very huge and not at all justified for a dying breed. 2ndly the memory controller of your motherboard is not a very efficient one and plugging very high performance ram won't give you any real life performance advantage. So better stick with Kingston or Transcend.
