I would be very happy if anyone could tell me the following:

1. How to paste the link(s) ? For example, when I send e-mail to a friend
how do I include the links to some web sites?

2. How to schedule the internet (dial-up) connection to be disconnected? ( For example, I downloaded some 50 mb files
at 11 pm which may take 3 hours, I need to sleep and would like the connection to disconnect and the computer to
shutdown or hibernate after the download is complete ).

1) just right click on link there is option of copy link
2) just schedule a shutdown dial up will automacally discounted
you can do it in by.go to start>click run>type cmd>command promt will be opened.then type

shutdown -s -t xx

where xx is the time in minutes.
This can also be done with the help of a small program "poweroff " just download it and enter time and that's it.if u want to download try get a broadband conection @ 250 pm
