I'm watching Digit for a few months and it seems now I should move a step to its rivals.

No personal problems, DIGIT wants only subscriptions, focuses mainly on kids.

Sorry for the harsh language but I am not a kid.

removed seems to be very slow even in broadband. I have tried to download pcworld but it seemed to take ages for which I quit.

The meaning of bogus is that the contest is bogus. The answer of the question asked in the contest is already present here. That's why it's bogus

If all this information is on net... then why we need a magazine.
Magazine is for the latest information, some valuable information gathered from their sources with some gud presentation and two-three sections for in-depth technology.

Now, tell me what's special in August 2006.

We all say, we need a DVD some says dual-layer... but didn't know what shud be in DVD.
DO we need old hollywood flicks..????. it would be better if there's a video of "how to manage network" or "basics of coding"

Only Memoy DDR & DDR2 section was gud in the whole magazine.
Even XBOX section( for what I had bought ) was not much valuable.

i) Um...magazine!= contests in it duh. And like I said somewhere else, the utility of a magazine is in its unique perspective and presentation.
ii)I agree about the videos of "how to manage networks" etc. and hope FatBeing is reading this. BTW, you did not like the gray goo part?

This month's magzine seems to be really cool plus the fasttrack. Moreover i like the fasttrack because i like to do some tweaks with my pc registery.

well, I don't know about the process of the competition, but at least theoretically, it is possible to judge it fairly. For example, they could base it on the presentation, ensuring that it is not copied from the well-known net sources (like the link you gave, which even a ****er like me has seen before )

I loved the feature on Swarm Intelligence. I would recommend a separate section on AI and SI.

I am still to receive August issue of Digit. Last month received on 30th. We want Dual Layer or 2 DVDs because one DVD cannot satisfy both Linux and Windows users. Everything is available on net but practically unable to download very big softwares. And why download when I can get 8.5 GB data free with magazines.

no auto-run,

unfortunately the digit cd and the dvd did not autorun, just the april2005 thing ran across my mind, i was shocked as the april 2005 cd/dvd is still unchanged, and i still have the couroupted ones, i thought this one again is going to happen the same. but i was very happy to find that it's working, just the autorun problem but from inside all files are proper and every thing is good.

The two games Penumbra and Prey in the DVD got installed. But they are not running. Clicking Penumbra first gives a black screen and then returns back to desktop. Clicking Prey a screen comes showing a number of problems and the program didnot run. I have windows xp with service pack 2. Can u tell me what is the problem?
