Yeah but progress is real slow in the hard drive sector compared to how fast computer technology evolves in general. 1.5 years ago, I bought my first 2TB HDD for 4.1k and look where we are now. We should be able to buy 4TB drives for under 10k by now but I can't even find them in the local market. Come to think of it, even 3TB drives are not available here. I think Seagate and WD are now maintaining a duopoly which has led to a stranglehold in the prices. We need more competing HDD manufacturers.
