You can get this from here, ask for a quote: Welcome To Shop Abroad Online

They gave me a quote of 3k, but you won't get warranty here, that's the risk.

Its best if you have friends in Europe, its available for 17 Pounds there(amazon UK), for 17 Pounds this kicks everything's @$$ and eats them alive after what remains. And even if it fails for some reason paying 17 Pounds(1.3k) won't bother you much. In US its available for 37$ but includes a hard carry case(amazon US)

If you want local warranty then you have to buy it from Betta or its associated distributer, see the list that I had given above under spoiler. Betta says they are also giving limited lifetime for this(as shown in the pic above).

And thanks, this headphone has that oomph factor that M35 lacks, unfortunately. The sound, I can't describe it, but its fun, that's it, just fun :D

Plus comfortability is beyond groovy, most comfortable thing I had ever wore on my head, so light.

@ tkin - oye ! so you got a 'happy waala' b'day today ?! many happy returns of the day buddy !! wish you all the best in life.

and thanks for the links. i will see what i could do.

and if you wish to enjoy movies as well on your speakers, get the SP2500, or a 5.1 system. AE A2s are good for stereo-purposes. plus, unfortunately they somehow have a moderate/high failure-rate in india (may be due to the environmental or climatic conditions here). though you would get replacement for that if god forbid anything of that sort happens, but why take the trouble ? if you want to watch movies too (which i suppose you would), then get the corsair model or a 5.1 system (like edifier DA5000 Pro or f&d f6000, both of which do incredibly well in music too being 5.1 systems, apart from providing a wholesome movie experience !)

Sorry to hear about the failure of A2s, so at 14k SP2500 is best? No other options?

How is Sonodyne? They have a showroom in kolkata, heard some reviews for them, positive so far.

Why not SP2500 vs Edifier S730, tough call..
BTW, cool audio gears..!
Thanks.

Haven't made the choice yet, this is the first time I am hearing about Edifier S730, if its better than SP2500 will go for it, now to hunt for some reviews.

BTW: Speaker upgrade is still a long way.

so i was correct ! since its a 51" plasma, i presume it must be PS51D550. thats one great TV ! when did you buy it, and what price ? it would be good if you could post a short, not much techincal feedback for it in a separate thread, since am too contemplating to do that for my TV. users here could get some good info from our threads
and i could 'see' those consoles too....hmm

i can understand your feeling for the spanking new LED monitor. we all do it

congrats for the IEM and earphones ! how's this soundmagic model ? never heard of it.

Its one hell of TV .Its my companion for more than 5 to 6 month & it cost me around 70,000 Rs Okay i will make a new thread for this tv.:p
All i can say its sound lot better than all my previous IEM.:)

In my opinion don't go for PC speaker go for AVR HT package like onkyo 3400 or 5400 for 7.1.they will sound lot better compared to any pc speaker .Earlier i was using z5500 but never satisfied with their sound after one month i purchased onkyo HT package from that day i never used my Z5500 they were no where near onkyo.:)

Me audiophile, me likes stereo speakers :p so no HT for me, I don't care much about surround sound, good stereo sets go a long way, thats why most costliest speaker systems in the world are stereo.

M50 is a beast, on a side note, if you have anyone living in US/UK try to get the Portapro, they sell for around 1.5k there and awesome.

Shopabroadonline gave me a quote of 3k which is nice, but consider this, no warranty, so if I get a DOA or something I'm f**ked, I paid 1k extra but the warranty coverage is worth it.

I'll go for a review after I burn them in.

Q701 is just a signature edition of 701 it seems, 702 I think will be better.

Also if you consider $1k phones, look out for low end Electrostatic Headphones, heard they are great.

Whoa, Koss gives Lifetime Warranty on the portapro, even in India, amazing, now I don't mind paying them 4k for the phones. Even flipkart says Lifetime for Koss.

This is what koss India(betta) mailed me.
All KOSS Stereophones carry an International Lifetime Warranty available in many countries.

Anytime KOSS headphone gets faulty you may complain on the international website koss headphones and they will send you to the nearest service centre.

In INDIA, all KOSS Stereophones are repaired by us at Mumbai and they can be sent here to us directly by the customer or you may alternately route the headphone for repairs through Systematix media, Imagine Store at KOLKATA.

Any queries kindly revert back to us or Mr. Adityaji at Kolkata, most freely.
