and no unfortunatelly one needs to travel to Redmond to get rebate no mvp gets any rebate from online store

^^you don't get discount on M$ hardware on M$ certified stores or something?I remember gx saying that Zune is available to him at 100$ from M$ long before newegg started selling 'em at 100$.

I purchased Sony Cybershot W80 for 999AED (UAE Dirhams)around Rs 11.7k. In India i think it costs around Rs14k-15k in Mumbai

With remaining money I purchased 250Gb SATA2 16Mbcache Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 HDD.

This is my first post here.

I Have purchased AMD 64 X2 5000+ for 4500, SP Road Bangalore.

Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2 ATI Radeon. 690 V chipset for 3500.

Corsair 667 MHZ 1*2 GB PC 5300 at 3400.

I just wanted to know if this is a Fair Deal, and would i have got better config at this price?

I think i can still exchnage it. So please advise me on this.

You could have gone for Core 2 Quad @ 2.4 Ghz Q6600 and a better Graphics Card. 7200GS is terrible for gaming.

Don't consider 7200 GS for gaming, its just good for movies and multimedia purpose!
