Elite 430 Black - Cooler Master

this case looks good......actually very good.....a lot better than the cm elite 335 .....specially the kind of features on it......
but vwad....please remember...if this build is stated for a later period.....
please consider a case that has an esata in front panel...as well as an usb 3.0 port....coz this is a pc you are gonna build later....so i believe a case with atleast 1 usb 3.0 in i/o panel is sensible enough for a decision.....also for mid tower case s the antec dark fleet df 35 and the df 30 offers such features os look into them....also right now the prices would be high....but possibly by jan 2011 ...their prices would surely come down...

Elite 430 Black - Cooler Master

that's a good one - thanks for the info :p

Samsung R528-DA01IN Laptop - Rs 23,850 (all) from Vedant, Kolkata (for my friend).

^^ nice purchase though a little con is it has no inbuilt bluetooth support which is used very frequntly by laptop users for sharing data with cell phones and for net connection as well.

Other than this it's very good laptop with 15.6 inch screen with HDMI port and inbuilt dvd writer and the price very affordable too - overall a good VFM laptop :p

@vwad -to cut down on costs ........i believe ....
@topgear-Samsung R528-DA01IN is actually vfm......but....bluetooth...prob can be resolved....buy a usb bluetooth receiver or the laptop.....i hope with that added...its a completely good buy.

though.....its actually a great buy but the Intel® Pentium Processor T4400 (2.20GHz, 800MHz, 1MB) is still disspoints me....but anyways for the price...good buy...

hey i noticed something...the CM elite 430 doesn't have management holes...so in a way....though good vfm....but still not for me.......as
1.no cable and wire management holes
2.no cutout on mobo tray for easy cpu retention bracket removal

at that price, Samsung can easily eat up Acers share in the value laptop market & jeopardize its own NetBook market. haven't know Samsung makes such good lappies at such affordable price.

@vwad -to cut down on costs ........i believe ....

bundle Win7 & the price increases by 7-8k (total ~35k, no more value). anyway most will immediately install a pirated Windows or if they buy through some retailers, they'll install Windows for a small fee.

its good for everything except gaming & heavy work. a really good lappy for a really sweet price :)

at 2.7k, if you ask CM to include so many features (that gets close to 690), they (CM guys) will run after you with a broom stick  :wwe: :enforcer2:

Quantum USB gamepad with Vibration 250/-
*cgi.ebay.in/Quantum-USB-Gamepad-PC-Vibrations-Wrnty-/390210046505
(Please suggest some games to play with my on board 3100 graphics that i can use this gamepad. I have MaxPayne-2, call of Duty 1 but these games dont support gamepad)

you may check if "Devil May Cry" does run in ur system - download the demo version and check.
if you want low profile games , find those mario bros:), tetris, or moto gp, or some other older games in ur nearby music /cd shop. they sell cheap nowadays.
If u want free multiplayer games, try -> Tales runner, upshift strike racer.

if any of these games dont have gamepad support built in, use a these programs to configure ur gamepad:
1) JoyToKey or
2) Xpadder
good luck.

o i forgot to display my new mouse here, that i bought 1-2 months back @ Rs.1425/-:

its an upgrade from my lil older logitech normal optical mouse, and feels too heavy in hand. not sure if there is any way to adjust.

i believe acer has don a terrific job with their vfm lappy's....i own a 5740g ...acer laptop...its got an i5,5650 1 gb gpu,4 gb ddr3 1066 mhz ram,500 gb hdd,win 7 hp,synaptics powered touchpad......all that for 42K....its the best deal for a laptpo...oh i forgot a 15.6" hd LED screen....now tell!!!

i agree with you for the 2nd point...

actually the cpu backplate cutout is a little too much to ask for...but atleast cable management should nave been there...when even the antec 300 (almost the same price...)has got it...

How much this retails for. Any cheaper version -- toned down. I need a basic laptop for when I travel.

for 40k+ its one of best lappies around. looked at AnandTech Alienware MX11 R2 review. i not sure if this is the laptop they used as i have forgotten the exact model no. but it thrashed the MX11 R2 bit time & by really big margin

but what i told was for sub30k lappy. Acer is master of laptops at that price & Samsung have intro a excellent Acer killer. now all these comes down to 2 things that everyone usually wants: 1. look. 2. battery life. if Samung can deliver, Acer will have a tough time. else...... :)

actually cpu backplate cabinets should cost less if you apply my logic. less metal needed so price should be less ;-) anyway it already got transparent side, LED fan, bottom PSU placement & bad looks. so i think price is almost justified. but no cable management hole. thats something even a local cabby usually don't miss out on. what was Cooler Master thinking? :-x

& Antec 300 is way better (far far superior by looks).

@icebags Thanks for the info. I will try those softwares and see.

Bought Seagate SATA 1TB HDD for 3250/- at Ameerpet.

I got a strange problem here.

The model number of this drive is ST31000528AS. When i chekced the info of this drive in Everest, HDTune, hwinfo softwares it shows that buffer size is UNKNOWN (or) n/a.

The OS drive which is a 500GB Seagate SATA (418AS) has 16MB buffer showing in all the above softwares.

Is it because of firmware? 500GB drive has older version (CC37) while the new 1TB drive has CC38. What might be the problem? does anyone else faced the same problem?

btw in DiskManagement it shows only the new 1TB drive. It doesn't show the 500GB drive on which the OS is currently running.
