I know a bit of HTML and CSS and am gooing to study thoroughly in my vacations!! My doubt is simple, how can we link the backend of a web site with the front-end (that is the html css code) and what are the important languages that should be learned in order to do so??

Lol, as I said I do not do coding (Its kind of 'Jhaadu Pocha' job for me).
But you can check w3schools.com they have tuts for CSS and HTML which shall help you
