Poll: What more features required for a STB(set top box)

I am just doing a survey on STB. leaving recording and USB connectivity features..

please comment/suggest new features that can be introduced in STB.

Faster Channel switch times. Thats all.

yaah faster channel switching or faster menu display is one of the basic imp thing..

If Settop box can work as a all format video player with 1 TB memory and wifi support it would be great as well...wireless video playback I mean

I dont want torrent support or file sharing...would say connection of internet on STB seems a waste

I opted for wireless network, coz it saves me cost & unnecessary devices at home, I think Airtel provides multicasting STB, but not available in my place.

Also internet connection with STB opens up unlimited options with internet TV's becoming cheaper these days. You can share Program listings with friends(twitter, FB integration ) and for many tv's with skype/youtube support it will be a boon.

As sujoy said, media player capabilities would be a great add-on too.

Even though torrent support would be great, I don't think it would happen because of the copyright issues involved.

What is wireless network?

I wanted IPTV. But its not HDied yet to I am giving it a miss.

Oh one more thing I want with the STBs is to be universal. Just change the card to change provider. Reduce e-waste.

Wireless streaming between STB & Antenna may be. Saves a lot of wire clutter.
