Sometimes ago decided for xcd35 but it went out of market. This will be my first smartphone. Another thing phone should be developer friendly ( installing custom roms etc.). Build quality should be good because I am expecting it last atleast 2-3 years.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini. it'll cost 2k more but has nice cam. but screen is small and has good developers support.

wait for some time.. prices are dropping fast, htc explorer received more than 2k price cut in 1.5 month... other phones will also get price cut...

out of curiosity bro.. can u tell me abt approx price cut for these models:

- motorola defy+
- SE xperia neo
- SE live with walkman
- SE Xperia Ray

and approx but nearly exact prices for these models:D:
- SE Xperia U
- SE Xperia P

- HTC One S

Xperia NXTs will be releasing this month end on 23rd (hopefully they should release it here in India:|on time)

So by 1st may onwards its partay time (uhm.. not for me :| i need a phone badly..way too badly :cry: i'll hang on till 24th april ...waiting...then I am game :D)

defy+ - down to 15k from 16.8k
neo- down to 15.5k from 17k( received price cut early march)
live- new model so dont expect more then 1k
ray- dont know

wait till april end, then you would have more options to choose from at lesser price...

Is there any chance of defy mini being released in april ?

Xperia U will cost around 17K. too much for me.
Acoording to a leaked sony lineup a phone codename tapioca will have price around 10K but it will be released in june.:confused:
Though it is not official.

will depend on moto, defy mini should be launched latest by may...

any new phone will take minimum 1month after its official announcement to be easily available in market...

original Defy is way too old. Even if its hardware is better than most 12k mobiles, i doubt anyone still sell it.

you may wait but it'll take time for mobile with good internals & Defy kind of screen appears at 10-12k. i see more Explorer type mobile entering the market (LG Optimus L3). So if you want to wait, you may have to a few months at least.

take my advice:

go for these ~10k below:

- HTC explorer (HTCs got its name..no need to prove it but its just the camera which is not autofocus)

- LG Optimus One (ask Sam abt it :D ; IMO its a damn fine phone; total XDA developer support; ICS is rollin on this babe ;) )

or

if u can wait then just hang on ..

I don't have much faith in lg, because my current phone is lg kp110.
I am using it for 4 years and already 5 times the software got corrupted(god knows how) and I had to update the software from service center. 250 rs for each update.

As for hanging on, I am ready to wait till june if the current one does not say I am dead.

companies and their products change with time.. so can't complain :|

+ LG Optimus One is actually old but still now its one of the sought after mobiles.. if u dont trust this.. then you should probably ask Sam (our guru MOD here :D ) + go chkout the "LG Optimus One thread" in forum / XDA community forums.

I'm urgently in need of a phone..gonna go for HTC Explorer. Read enough about it to decide. Probably would order it on Flipkart by the evening.
My only doubt is do I get a headset in the package? (Serious budget constraints!!<=9k) If yes, how is the quality?
anyone?

Don't order it from flipkart, on other online it is available for 8k or less.
And headset is not included in the package.
