please help me buying a laptop???

hi everybody. i have a budget of 40-50 thousand bucks and need the following for my laptop, any idea.....

Minimum Requirements:

3GB DDR III RAM
AMD/INTEL 5 core or 7 core CPU
64 bit
Full Virtualization support
512 MB dedicated Graphics card
300 GB + HDD

any suggestions are welcome, i don't know much about laptop specs so please help...

I have never heard of a 5 or 7 core cpu. 6 core exists though. Laptops come in pre built config. So you might have to check with your local dealer about configs and prices.

I assume you r refering to intel's core i5 and i7. There are lots of laptop with core i5 from different manufacturer but laptop with core i7 simply exeeds your budget...
Dell is providing new series of inspiron with AMD quad core and tri core processors. One is inspiron M501 with:
Phenom 2 Quad Core processor(2 Ghz, 3.6GT/s)
4 GB DDR3 ram
1 GB ati graphics card
500 GB HDD
15.6" display
in just Rs. 41000.
I think its a good buy...

any other options with cpu... i was looking at dell xps 17. by the way there seems no laptop by the name of dell inspiron 501 model. the dell website revealed that it doesn't exit

Ok since giving you i config is not possible, ill give you things to look for.
Get any intel cpu. They run cool as compared to their amd counterparts, unless something changed a few months back which i don't know of.
Get ddr3 ram. Its faster than any other kind.
Look for a blueray drive if available. Hd movies on blueray look awesome.
Get main connectivity-wifi, usb(should be 3 posts or more) esata also acts as usb, 5 in one card reader, rj45 for lan and possibly a modem card inbuilt for emergency use.
Look for a display of 16:10 aspect if your intended use of laptop is general computing, otherwise get 16:9
Look for a greater capacity hdd if you don't plan to get another external one for the laptop.
Lastly check the reviews of your selected laptop. Stay away from acer laptops for most of then have bad build quality.

Sorry Raj,didnot mean to offend you.You probably wont get a decently speced xps 15 within 50k budget,let alone xps17.
Here is something,if you can stretch your budget a bit,

Now something within your budget,if 14"is acceptable for you,

I personally would have taken either of them over the new xps.
