I bought the following config from kolkata today

ASUS M2N-VM DVI-----------------Rs.3475
AMD 64 AM2 4400+----------------Rs.3800
2GB*1 DDR2 800MHz---------------Rs.2550
Seagate 250GB 7200rpm-----------Rs.2850

Please comment on the prices .Are they high or normal.
If I hd gone for 1GB*2 would the price be less.

AFAIK you should have bought 1GB*2 RAM modules as it would increase system performance. As far as prices are concerned, I guess they are OK.

I have already planned to buy another 2GB*1 next month so performance will not matter then.
Anyways thanks for reply.

there are really no performance difference between 800 and 667 value rams :( yes if one can afford a performance 800 Mhz such as crosair or such then yeah :)

as if buying 2 GB single stick 667 at present, gives u a real flexibility :) Rs. 1800/- + TAX for kingstone 667 MHz 2 GB :D which in next few months would hit Rs. 1500/- mark and then u can add another 2 GB to make is 4 GB under dual channel :)
