Planning to build a PC under 35,000 your thoughts??

manishcho

Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: I dont play games but am planning to start playing a game or 2 after buying this. Mostly it will be online with trading applications running or with crome and firefox running.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:35,000 max

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No, dont know how to do so.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: I guess dual boot of Windows 7 & Windows 8 64 bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I already have a old 1TB WD HDD so wont buy a new 1 and in future I may buy a SSD because for now it has no purpose for me. What will I do with a little extra speed as I use photoshop only once a day and dont mind waiting for a little longer for it to load.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, I have a 23'' LG monitor which is Full HD

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD, Monitor, Optical Drive, Key Board, Mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: ASAP, once I am satisfied with your gyaan.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I used to a few years back when Athlon XP used to be the in thing.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I am at Raipur, Dont know where I will buy but I see flipkart is selling them cheap but still I will try sourcing it locally or take a train ride to delhi if it is cheap there.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I have lost touch with building PC's. These last few years was spent working on high end laptops that were handed over to me for working. I want to build a PC that is good and cheap. Below is what I compiled for me, I dont know if there is anything wrong in it but will surely like your take on it.

If in the same budget if I can get a AMD FX 8520 then I am open for it as an 8 core is always better for me.

AMD FX 8350 @ 11k
Asus M5A97 Evo R2 @ 7k
Gskill RipJAWSx 2 x 4 GB @ 4k
NZXT Gamma @ 2.5K
Seasonic S12 520W @ 3.5K
Sapphire HD 7770 @ 8k

The HD 7770 is a Lot Powerful than HD 6670 since it is a newer gen and a newer architecture ...Dont Go for Cooler Master PSUs at any cost .They are Crap and Fail Most of the Time , read the Power Supply Blacklist Thread for more info.
In your config you have combined an i3 Proc which cannot be Overclocked with a Z77 Motherboard which can be Overclocked. You are Simply Wasting Money Here.

The price mentioned here, are these online price or local market price??

Regarding overclocking, I have no clue how that is done. I checked out a few Linus videos but they seem too complicated for me at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestion, I really like this setup.. its a little over budget but I understand the extra cost..

As there is no heavy duty work or overclocking here, an i5 will make more sense.

i5 3550 (12500)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4000)
Corsair Value Select 1600 MHz 4 GB (2000)
Seasonic S12II 430W (3600)
Sapphire HD7850 2GB (13500)
NZXT Gamma (2500)

total: 38000

get HD7790 to lower the price.

Buddy, MSI is out of ndia, so investing in MSI ports is not a good decision.

yes it is best paired with a 990FX board. It will offer more connectivity options and better overclock support. But, as you will not be overclocking (you mentioned it), m5a97 evo r2.0 is good.
