commonly known fact: android is not butter smooth like iOS or WP. Atom will score more marks in benchmark (thanks to the power of X86 architecture). But 544 MP2 on a 1080p display means you are forcing the GPU to run at 100% load which will create more heat and ultimately throttle and causing lags. this is just a theory but this been seen on multiple mobiles so should be true for K900 too.
