^^ABiT IP35-E is gud since it supports new 1333MHz procs from Intel........but don't expect it to perform like other P35 chipset performance mobos, which r more costlier....12k and upwards.

Will ABIT IP35-E will perform better than xfx 650i ultra? I also want to ask that what is the model of xfx 8600gt which doesn't have heating problems. I will buy all the products from www.theitwares.com As xfx 650i ultra also has 1333Mhz FSB so i think the processors supported by them will be same. Don't u think? Please advice me carefully. Because i can't just upgrade every 6 months.

i would recommend against going for xfx 8600 . go4 galaxy . between abit ip35 and xfx 650i i dont know . i suggest u consult choto cheeta .

hellgate

At Hell's Disq

I asked rashi peripherals and they said that the motherboard is available at 5k. And about the graphics card they said that the faulty older stock has been removed and the newer one is available for 6k. It doesn't have any problems. Should i trust them and i buy the products directly from them? Or should i buy the products from www.theitwares.com ?
On that website the prices are
xfx 650i ultra- 4.9k
xfx 8600gt- 5.1k

whereas the person from the chandigarh office of rashi peripherals told me the prices as

xfx 650i ultra-5k
xfx 8600gt-6k

From where should i buy?

Dun take the chance for XFX Though XFX is reliable, rashi guys are not that reliable what wud u do if they gave u UDF7 XFX?
Point of View 8600GT, or BIG are also gun and costs some mere 5k, nd has 3yr warranty too. So go for it.
And bout mobo, get it from local store if possible for better aftersale support. And think bout online only if its very hard to find locally.

Buddy i just want to ask a simple question which motherboard should i get?
Abit IP35-E or xfx 650i ultra? And i have described the condition am in, in that thread. Please help me out. Shall i post all that stuff in that thread?

its the most simple question one would even has to answer  as XFX 650i ultra is no longer in the market  so only one option for u is ABiT IP35-E :D

sorry cant read the full thread but as making out from the 1st page,

Get your self ABiT IP35-E, which is Rs. 4900/- + TAX, may be your vendor would as few hundres more, but at max dont pay anything higher than 5200/- + TAX...

Get a 2 GB single Stick DDR-II 667 MHz or kingstone at Rs. 1800/- + TAX, once again dont pay more than 1900/- + TAX :p

add a XFX 8600 GT which is Rs. 5500/- + TAX :D

so it stacks up to,

XFX 8600 GT @ Rs. 5500 /- + TAX
ABiT IP35-E @ Rs. 5200 /- + TAX
2 GB Single Stick DDR-II 667 MHz @ Rs. 1900 /- + TAX

TAX @ 4% VAT Rs. 504 /-
Total Rs. 13104 /-

use ur 3.0 GHz LGA 775, it will work just fine with the motherboard... this is not the right time to invest high ammount on a Processor :)

3.0 GHz HT would be fine to run the 8600 GT :)

P.S. also if possible get some thermal paste as when gaming your P4 will be pushed to its limit  so will heat up a lot... try and get some good thermal paste and apply that when assembling :)

If u r worried abt heating problems of XFX 8600GT, take PoV 8600GT.In India most of the stores r supplied with XFX UDF7 8600GT from RP. RP took a bulk order from XFX for UDF7 before UDD3 was released (UDD3 solved the heating issue of XFX 8600GT). So make sure u get a UDD3 XFX or go for PoV or BIG as mentioned by dOm1naTOr.

@j1n M@tt

any silent version card from XFX or any brand has heating issue... any version of XFX with FAN under 8600 sereise wont relly bother you with heating issue unless you are Over Clocking the card :|

@choto cheeta

ma friend, am not saying against u......but u must know dat UDF7 hav some serious heating issuses. It might suite low-class gamers......but with this card u can't even play Crysis at a stretch without making it heat up high, even if u don't OC it.

Thanks all of u. I just want to inform that ABIT IP35-E is not avialable here in the northern region. So i will have to buy it from www.theitwares.com I want to ask that as the xfx card has a overheating problem so which card will be best? In chandigarh only xfx and asus are available. But asus is very expensive. So which one should i buy?

spikygv

Wise Old Owl
asus is definitely my choice . but the cost is also high.buy it if u can afford it . or get the card (galaxy or POV) also from theitwares

If u r getting things from It wares, then buy a Point of View 8600GT too from them. Otherwise go for XFX itself........since u r a casual gamer and not going to fiddle with it too much :) I mean OC and stuffs like dat........

^^ my xfx 8600GT udf7 without OC goes upto 107C on running ati tool for 15 mins. nfs carbon takes it upto 88C and so does POP . i dont think thats "serious gaming".

I am not a casual gamer. I am a serious gamer. But i don't have money to buy high end cards. I made my fx 5200 cry when i stretched it to 430Mhz as compared to 333 stock. So i will definitely overclock the card. But the POV 8600GT fared badly in digit reviews so i am in a dilemma right now. What to do? Which card to buy?

Thanks to all of u for ur help.
So final decision is
Abit P35-E
2GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
8600GT Galaxy or POV (based on availability)

One more thing is that a person is selling 7800GTX in this forum for 6k. The card is 1.5 yrs old. Should i get it? Will it work on a 400W PSU?

spikygv

Wise Old Owl
yes a 7800GTX will perform better. but if its Go 7800GTX , then i vote for 8600GT .

the card is 1.5yr old.hmmm . test the card. .check the temps , verify that its not artifacting. besides that , do u know / trust the seller or does he have a good reputation.

i feel most g-cards are manufactured keeping in mind that they will be used for 3 to 3.5 years . after that the cards die or start behaving erratically. so if its been used for 1.5 yrs , it has about 2 years life left. is it enough ?

oh yeah , the psu i dont think will be enough . a zebronics 500W may suffice .but the 7800GTX was a high end and its better to get a better power supply like cooler master 600W

What is a Go 7800GTX? The card is from XFX. I don't know about the reputation of the buyer as i am new here. Look at this thread. And tell me if i should consider buying it? *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76031

if this is the card

then i think its a pretty good buy. . .i dunno this guy either . anyway , check temps and for artifacts b4 buying . but i think u'll need a better psu to run that card. i think a cooler master 600W costing around 3.5k maybe needed.
i dont think a local 450W psu can power this card. ask the guy from whom u r buying wat smps he's using.
