I do not need a PSU,yaa it's a Tricom:D 450w i know it's not good but it will work I think?..
I know i3 is not a quad but i need the rig for just 1.5yrs..
Would't it suffice?It has got HT..

I won't be adding anything later,will buy a whole new rig after 12th..
Wht do u think about that GPU?Is it good enough?

^^ its your wish. buy a good PSU now or replace the old burnt one once it goes off under gaming load. cheapest option is FSP Saga II 350W.

about the processor query, if you want strictly Intel based, get the i3. as the rig you configured is not powerful enough, i3 or X4 won't matter that much.

also LGA1156 doesn't support sandy bridge processors. but, same maybe the case with current AM2+/AM3 platform. so, just be careful when getting the PSU. rest is kind off ok.

i3-540 is an old icore processor. If u are baised towards intel then go with i3-2100 which is 2nd gen.
CONFIG:
* Intel i3-2100 -- 6k
* Intel DH67BL -- 5.5k
* 2GB DDR3 -- 1.2k
* 500GB HDD -- 1.7k
Total ---- 14.4k
+
* GPU: Sapphire HD5670 -- 4.5k
Grand Total --- 18.9k

But this the cheapest latest intel i3 solution u have. If u really want the old model i3-540 then here you go:
* CPU: Intel i3-540 -- 5k
* MoBo: Asus P7H55M-LX -- 3.6k
* RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR3 -- 1.2k
* HDD: WDC Blue 500GB -- 1.7k
* GPU: Sapphire HD5670 -- 4.5k
Total ---- 16k

Finally dont use those generic PSUs. Get a good branded one. A GPU above 4k will surely not be sufficient for your generic PSU. Surely that will burn out. Better go with FSP at cheapest price. Yes u can use this FSP PSU even after ur 12th too. So, there is absolutely no problem in getting it.
* FSP SAGAII 350W -- 1.5k
* FSP SAGAII 400W -- 1.7k
* FSP SAGAII 500W -- 2k
But the best option would be:
* Corsair CX-400W -- 2.5k

Your choice, select any of the following PSUs. If u dont then ur PC is surely in danger.

I dont think that mobo is available now. The cheapest now available IMO is Asus P7H55M-LX for 3.6k.

A 320GB HDD is hard to find these days. Even if u find u will get it for1.5k. So, its wiser to spend 200 bucks more and get a 500GB.
