this started 2 weeks ago

i have reformatted main partition n reinstalled win xp 4 times
i got bsod (blue screen of death) during installation of xp many times
BSod was not letting me installl windows completely
it kept saying different msgs
sometimes related to hard disk
sometime to change vga adapters

i have a nvidia 6200 , when i start windows using graphics adapter after windows loads i get bsod or system restart
when i remove it , system starts but still i get bsod n system restarts after sometime

all applications give error n shut down
ie7,opera,windows media player,dr .watson,avg antivirus

i dont know where the problem lies
for first time i m confused to death

is it RAM,HDD,MB or even PSU ?
again my hdd is not properly detected sometimes i have to remove n replug power cable
my hdd has 8kb n 4kb bad sectors in 2 out of 3 partitions
no bad sectors in primary partition where windows resides
till 2 days ago pc was working with graphics card
now it restarts after windows loads

ie7 gives program encountered an error in 2 mins

n other system apllications like run dll as app , dr watson, svchost

i dont know if it is h/w prob or s/w prob

Replacing your HDD might solve the problem, as you have said it contains bad sectors.

Ok to check if your GFX is causing the problem... next time you install make sure to disable(better remove) the GFX and run the installation with default onboard graphics.

hey bro ...that 6200 u have is creepy .... i faced the same .....

solution is firstly make surer u uninstall the graphic driver then reinstall it.......
download from nvidia.com......... or if u have already....

hey, for ur problem may be ur condensors on mobo are culprit....

they are black or grey cylindrical structures(not chips) connected to mobo by 2-3 pins....

just look at them and if any one of them seems swollen or abnormal than rest then get it replaced.... generally they swell up due to moisture n dust... and thus cos too many restarts....
formatting rarely helps int his case....

i too was having the same prob sometime back...just remove the RAM and rub the contacts with an eraser and replace to fit snugly...that's what worked for me.
