hello friends,

hope many of u have used Oracle 9i iSQL. if yes then help me out.

actually i have installed Oracle 9i Application Server on Win 2k Pro sp4
and i have created database also.
i can access the database and also can login into the SQL*Plus but my
problem is with iSQL*Plus.

plz tell me how to access the database from another system.

Mine database is : ORADB
SID : oradb
Port assigned is : 2030

and Windows 2000 Pro does not have any DOMAIN installed and is on
Workgroup.

1) Is there any Requirement of Domain and Active Directry INSTALLED
before Oracle 9i ????

2) How do we access iSQL by typing what address in the address field of
Internet Explorer

3) Plz note that :
a) first, i installed Oracle 9i WITHOUT preconfigured Database.
b) Secondly, then after installation i created a Database with
Database Configuration Assistant.
c) Now what is the next step I SHUD do ?????

plz tell me in details and in plain language.

Back to School Mr. Bean !
iSQL * Plus is a web based front end and a replacement for SQL * Plus for a client pc which does not have Oracle Client tools installed.
Using iSQL * Plus u can remotely access oracle databases through a browser

1) There is no Requirement of Domain / Active Directry INSTALLED
before Oracle 9i

To access isql

Start "HTTP Server powered by Apache" in the server

To get the URL
Open httpd.conf in x:\oracle\ora92\Apache\Apache\conf\
Get port number from the entry Port xxxx in httpd.conf

Access isql from *<oracle_server_host_name>:xxxx
