I was just looking around to see what other countries have to pay for internet. And look what I found:

*broadband.o2.co.uk/

16 Mbps Unlimited for Rs. 1,180 a month. That is just not fair compared to the 1Mbps Unlimited in India for Rs. 2200! Double the Cost, sixteen times less speed!!

No wonder everyone is living in HD world....

BSNL/Airtel/Reliance/God, Please do something!

16 MBPS *gigasmilies.googlepages.com/36a.gif

In our country max 2 MBps till where I have heard.

I think I must send this page to BSNL Broadband..

there is another minor snag... those plans are for a minimum one year contract.

Yeah, most ISP and TSP[telephone service providers][?] abroad have long term contracts. Look at the AT&T iPhone contract.

Still, I think that is because very few people would want to give up cheap, fast, ul broadband.

16mbps UL @ an affordable price is never going to happen in India......
We are praying for 2mbps UL since 2 years and still haven't got this, so when do we expect 16mbps UL?........:D

Anyways, we should not expect 16mbps from BSNL atleast. Their lines aren't even good for handling 8mbps ADSL. Also, upload is terrible in ADSL. I don't want 16mbps in ADSL.......
