do you trust this site
and one more thing NK and israel are not that different and i will still state that israel is supported by the usa you just need to look at the right place.
Its a well known conspiracy site with neo-cons, zionism, alex jones etc.
Do not be surprised if they will try to link every bad thing to West and concepts like new world order, zionism etc.
You know what, in Pakistani forums there is another brand of zionism and what it is called : Hindu-zionists....lol.
Unfortunately you forgot to check the links in that article. The guy has written some truth and mixed with some fiction to suit his objectives.
Canada supplied Nuclear Reactors to India for peaceful purpose of energy generation, later India used it in "Smiling Buddha" nuclear test in 1974.
So was it Canada's mistake ? No.
The author of that article has blatantly blamed US for it.
Look at the text author wrote:
Bush argued that arming the megalomaniac dictator Kim Jong-Il with the potential to produce a hundred nukes a year was, “vital to the national security interests of the United States.” Bush released even more money in January 2003, as was reported by Bloomberg News.
And now click the link to read what it says:
The 1994 Agreed Framework created the organization, committing the U.S., Japan and South Korea to build the reactors and deliver enough fuel oil for North Korea's energy needs until the facilities were ready. South Korea is paying for most of the reactor project.
In exchange, North Korea would scrap reactors tied to a nuclear arms effort and allow international inspectors to verify compliance. Two new 1,000-megawatt, light-water reactors, valued at $4.6 billion, would provide enough power to light 2 million U.S. homes, or about 20 percent of North Korea's energy.
Also:
The principal KEDO members, now the U.S., South Korea, Japan and the European Union, decided to end shipments of fuel oil soon after U.S. envoy James Kelly's October meeting with North Korean officials at which the Bush administration said it learned of the regime's deception.
Let me say that US has been very naive with its foreign policy. It lacks the wisdom IMO.
Now for the rest part, it confirms well that it was Pakistan which knowinly sold nuclear secrets and Uranium enriching centrifuges via
A Q Khan, father of Pakistan Atomic Bomb.
He has operated a black market for Nuclear secret dealings supported by Pakistani Army and ISI. It is reported that he has also sold Nuclear secrets to Libya and Iran in addition to North Korea.
Alongwith that he payed visits to Africa and various other nations too. But a personal interrogation was prohibited by Gen. Musharraf (apparently he was also related to the dealings). He was on house arrest and got released recently without any impeachment.
A Q Khan and some other scientists have met with Osama Bin Laden regarding Nuclear Weapon secrets.
North Korea has helped pakistan by giving it No Dong missiles in return because both countries sucks in economy.
China is using Pakistan against India and North Korean against Japanese. North Korea knows very well that it depends upon China, but it tested Nucelar Charge and 5 short range missiles. Obviously China is backing it.
And there is every possibility that North Korea is the new testing ground for China and Pakistan.
Here is a good article on A Q Khan:
The Man Who Sold the Bomb
*www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1025193,00.html
Among Khan's customers were Iran and North Korea--two countries identified by Bush as members of the "axis of evil," whose nuclear ambitions present the U.S. with two of its biggest foreign policy quandaries. At a moment when the international community is focused on a potential showdown with Iran, a TIME investigation has revealed that Khan's network played a bigger role in helping Tehran and Pyongyang than had been previously disclosed. U.S. intelligence officials believe Khan sold North Korea much of the material needed to build a bomb, including high-speed centrifuges used to enrich uranium and the equipment required to manufacture more of them
So who is Abdul Qadeer Khan, and what kind of threat does his illicit enterprise still pose? When you piece together the details of Khan's career, his business dealings and the covert operation that brought him down, what emerges is a portrait of a brainy engineer who devoted his life to the pursuit and proliferation of the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. Born to humble beginnings, he became a globe-trotting magnate who relished the luxury that fame and savvy brought him. But colleagues say he was also driven by a devout faith and a burning belief that Muslim possession of nuclear weapons would help return Islam to greatness. Just how far Khan was able to spread that vision is a question, says a former U.S. intelligence official, "that still keeps a lot of us up nights."
Khan was born in 1936, in Bhopal, India, 11 years before the founding of Pakistan. His youth was shaped by the communal violence that plagued India after the end of colonization. He has told his biographer of witnessing the massacre of Muslims by Hindus that followed the partition of the old British colony in 1947. By the time he immigrated to Pakistan in 1952, Khan had developed an interest in science and a loathing for India.
i think pakistan got the nuclear secrets from china and north korea..........
NK is a kind of country always consider as enemy by USA and its allies.... they are also near to USA supported SK and japan......
And i believe NK is the only country that has compulsory military training for all the citizens.....
i dont thing this global economic recession will matters in NK... from the beginning it self they are living with out any ind of dependency with USA..........
No sir read above given link on A Q Khan, he stole the secrets from Dutch. Though China has helped Pakistan with weapons and may be uranium etc but North Korea only helped with their missiles.
Yeah SK and US has defense strategic ties. Its a good think but US supports Pak and China too, thats something of double nature.
South Korea also has conscription, Israel also has conscription (excluding the 20% Arab population).
I was not talkin about global economic depression, I am saying about NK economy which is already in sewer with 1/4th of the population starving. China is the one supplying them with resources, if any.
