Actually i also feel you have been too hasteful , going for the model that looks best on paper.

HCL is somewhat unrealiable compared to the other brands , more importantly their customer service is not as good as others.

WTH??? The Asus that you had chosen in the opening post was much better than the HCL. Spending 40k for this config, and from this manufacturer makes no sense.

Well the Acer has decent graphics-you can play the latest games at medium quality. It has a very good battery life of 10 hours in normal use(confirmed). The screen is a bit poor but OK. Its very slim and has a metallic finish. All in all a very powerfull system with a very good battery life(almost double of normal laptops-will be good if you are a student) at only 40k.

i am not sure about Acer as a brand though.

Check the following reviews please.

How on earth did you choose the worst possible option.

Well Man My Chachu recently bought (4 months back) HP G62 and it heat like hell it restart on its own if u game on it for more than few hours. My uncle bought a HCL lappy 2 year back still not having a single problem. This is 3rd time we trusted HP when Chachu bought it and it had problems. So I am not just reading reviews but also seeing what is practically good too.

Well I cant say much about config but 3 year warranty is good 4 me. However i think i shall reconsider. (Though I have trust on HCL --> 3 existing customer in family only)
