Time to update your Siggy then!
What's your color of L520? Whether the earphone and phone are in same colors?

Judgement Time!!
i have a query about this phone if you guys do not mind...i am contemplating buying lumia 520 for my dad and Lumia 720 for my mom...My main doubt is in regards to battery life...can it give more than a day's battery life under normal usage esp the L520 which seems to have a smaller battery compared to the L720...i need this to last for a minimum 1 day or more under normal usage....

Should last for a day. Check out Lumia 720 review on the verge. It really praises the battery life. I'm sure 520 will also last a day.

Played the new cut the rope game today. Is it available for WP8?

Time to eat candy and play Cut the Rope Experiments on Windows Phone! | Windows Phone Central

Is that the one you wanted?

My 920 was rated a 44H phone by gsmarena, while the 520 lasts a bit longer at 49H.

The 920 lasts undergoing decently heavy usage for a day easily. That involving a good chunnk of screen on time, wifi on all the time syncing two mail accounts, three news clients all at the same time. The 520 should be easily capable of doing the same and even better if the screen-on time is lower than mine (which in all probability is indeed the case here)

BTW, you should probably switch your choices between mom and dad and get dad the 720, my logic being that your dad will probably able to appreciate the additional features more than your mum (no offense intended, just guessing) This would be especially relevant if your mum is a housewife and dad works as he'd be more than pleased with the extended battery life of the 720.

Not the verge. I find them closet anti-microsoft. GSM arena is always the best bet. The most comprehensive and support their views with proper numbers/samples unlike the verge where you have to go by the opinion of somebody who just claims things with no quantitative data/samples to prove the same. Same is the case with phonearena who have had some plain dumb comparisons lately.

GSMArena FTW.

Lol...no offence taken...:-D..my mom is working & she travels a lot everyday and has more usage than my dad who seldom checks his phone during work..hence i was thinking of giving the 720 to my mom..damn now i am thinking i will buy 2 Lumia 720's..thanks again...

Nokia has a goldmine on their hands. Now they only need to advertise the s**t out of it.

I don't watch tv so can you guys tell me how many ads have you seen of this device? I don't think Nokia is marketing it well enough.
