nokia 5700 xpressmusic cam problem

hi I hv recently bought this 3g phone which is damn packed wit features but I found issue as d cam doesn't work out well in even slight dim conditions despite being a 2mp cam wit flash. D image is blurry n pixelated. Though ts good at day lite. N battery backup is also poor, lasts not more than a day, even less at times. Plz advice wat to do. Shall I take it to nokia care n wat budget should I b prepared wit?

There is nothing wrong with your phone; that's pretty much how the 5700 is. I own one myself. The camera sucks but if you are using it at night with the flash then set the white balance to Fluorescent before hand so that the images don't look green.

ya dats true but is it dats bad. 2mp cam afterall. N battery definately shouldn't b like it. Jus 4 hrs at times jus by playing music or smthing. I change battery twice. Wat would original battery cost. I got for 700bux.

did u buy a new fone or a used one ?... pl buy battery from nokia care only ... and do a full charge of ur battery ... approx 2 hours ...

Resolution has nothing to do with quality. Just because it is 2 megapixel doesn't mean it'll deliver good quality images. Higher resolution means you'll only get bigger images with more details.

As for battery life my 5700 lasts for 1 day with heavy usage. If you think you are getting less than get your battery replaced with a new one.

ya battery does get kicked off on heavy usage of music esp on phone speakers... but however i feel dat it can last more....charging gets completed in less than 30mins...will take it to care...

ps: any mod or any settings possible for better clarity at low light?

Hmmm..
It's not a problem. Actually the camera's on all xpress music are mediocre. The battery of 5700 last for 1.5 day under normal usage, under heavy GPRS usage it lasts for around 5 hours.

Be sure to deplete the battery fully & then recharge fully before the first use.

no sir....not that heavy usage....like music on speakers fr abt 20mins....talk time of abt 25mins and its dead....
itsa a used phone fr 1 yr...seller sed a normal battery wud last 8hrs of music on phones...

For taking good pictures under low light switch off the night mode as it leads to bad colour reproduction.
I shoot at normal mode with night mode off at night. Also I have noticed when you switch off the flash the photos come out to be less noisy.

There isn't any fix for the camera as of yet from Nokia. Also do not expect it as this model has been discontinued & Nokia has a bad reputation of not bringing firmware updates for old phones.

in low lite the flash works only if objects r close enuf...else again its pixelated....decent light, night mode works well enuf...but flash distrbs it in such situation if sued....basically flash is handy 2 take portrait pictures whre faces or bojects r too close n theres practically no or very dim light.....

m more tensed towards the battery part...

yes sir i guess theres a point wit d battery will go to nokia care soon. 2ndly, is thr any flashing or firmwire available for this model for any betterment in cam...??? jus tryin out!!!

The latest firmware for Nokia 5700 Xpress Music is V 5.11
I found no changes in this new firmware over my V 3.83. Looks like Nokia is fooling it's customers.
