I have a f&d 2.1 pc speakers and i have removed it from my pc and connected it to my videocon d2h set top box. So output audio from the set top box is played through my 2.1 speakers and the video is played on my tv through hdmi.
Now when ever the speakers and set top box are on, i hear a noise something like 'sshhhhhhhhhhh'. It is mild noise and it increases as i increase the volume from my speakers. This noise comes from the 2 speakers and the woofer remains silent.
I get the audio output on top of this noise and when i mute, the actual audio mutes and this noise still remains
The audio quality of the speakers are very good.. Just that this noise is disturbing when i listen to it closely
What could be the problem
