no sound in hp dv 6516tx laptop

i've a hp dv 6516 which i opened yesterday after a long time about 4 months..it was working fine yesterday but suddenly today, there was no sound at all..it has windows vista home premium pre installed, which i use...i have ubuntu installed on one of its partitions, in which the sound works fine.

plz help me out with this one..

Hi,

There is a feature under Windows Vista called System Restore..

try to restore it back to a nearest available restore point before the date in which the problem started..

It is probably a driver issue. Get the latest driver from here: *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122510

Download and install. That should solve your problem.
