i hope they have integrated a download manager otherwise they are quite stupid not to. that's the only feature that's quite missing and it always frustrates me.

A download manager is not yet integrated, it's still using the same old download manager of IE 5.5 (shame on MS  ). However MS has stated that they will integrate download manager with proper resume & pause functionality in IE 8, which I M sure will be for Windows Vista only

U can try, Free download manager, a really good download manager for IE which is also free, the lastest version i tried with IE 7 beta 3, & it worked fine. Other options are flashget (free now), IDA, IDM & DAP

Very much happy with FF and have a choice of Opera too why IE needed

its most popular target for viruses spams due to its popularity in laymen & end users

STILL

FF & OPERA ROCKS...

Faster ...? It looks slower to me .. Will anyone else using Lan with proxy confirm this ..?
Its more or less same to me .. Sidebar Modules still doesnt show up .. And it eats resources like hell ..
Max2 for me .. Now and forever ...

batty, u r right, Internet Explorer 7 "software" is indeed slow on Windows XP, better use maxthon 2, as your system is quite old too

I installed ie7 and when I started the exe file, nothing happened.
No page opened. I have a genuine XP home edition.
I went back to ie6 after uninstalling ie7. Things are OK.
Anyone can help?

I would recommend NOT to install IE7. There are so many issues they need to resolve. Whats the hurry!

it seems microsoft's has opened its floodgates to its new product launches :)

- IE 7.
- october 24 windows defender, its antispyware tool.
- then final version of Windows Desktop Search.
- then came final version of Windows Media Player (WMP) 11 for Windows XP.
- Microsoft also is expected to release the final version of Office Live very shortly..
- AND now they have vista and office 2007 on 30/11 for corporates and 30/1 for general release...
