new system to be taken urgently for 1.6 lakh!!

Hav to order system dis week.. i have thought of as told earlier.

option 1: Intel core i7 2600k & asus maximus iv extreme.. but as i heard there are problems with sandy should i still consider this? i will be only using only 3 or 4 sata ports max..so should i go ahead with this? when will the b3 stepping boards be available in india( earliest?)?

OR

option 2: Go ahead with x58 as this is a stable and rock solid platform and buy the 6 core i7 970( price cut now 26k)?


I WONT BE OVERCLOCKING A LOT..IF U CAN PLEASE GIV A DETAILED CONFIG FOR DAT PRICE..


My dad is tellin me dat i cannot hold back without ordering.. please help. hav to order this week..

Go ahead with the first option (Intel Core i7 2600k) and replace your motherboard later. Many companies have announced replacement programmes.

No point in going for an outdated platform i.e. previous generation Core i7.
