BMG ftw!!
^Very good config.
But as OP will use autocad, I would like to suggest MSI GTX 560ti Hawk @ 14.2K

Thetechfreak, the price of GD55 is not 8.7K, it is above 9K. In Kolkata I guess it is retailing @ 9.5K.

pardon me for lack for knowledge but How the AutoCAD will benefit from a GTX50 Ti as compared to a 6950 which is a faster card? :???:

AutoCAD considering its requirements should run like breeze on a HD6950

AMD HD6900 series card is not supported by AutoCAD till now. Maximum support is for HD 6870 whereas all the Nvidia 400 series and 500 series cards are fully supported. That's why Nvidia GTX 560 Ti is recommended.

CHeck it here: Autodesk - Certified Hardware - Find Graphics Hardware

^^ This.
Thanks for mentioning that before I'm able to post it here.
And also nvidia's cuda core technology is better for autocad graphics rendering.

Nope.. All of the 3D rendering firms like Maya, Autodesk etc are now using OpenCL because it is supported on both platforms (NVIDIA & AMD).. IMO, he should go for a card which has about 2 GB of RAM.. I know it isn't going to give him much benefit in the games, but a rendering scene will benefit a lot, I mean a lot from more than a GB of RAM..

And yes.. 560 Ti is doing wonders with 3D animation & other pro-stuff.. My friend has SLI-ed this card to get awesome performance in rendering.. although, they see only 1 GB of VRAM, but the max benefit comes from the Stream Processors..
