^^^ yes i agree with that too about that 1k differences. 3550 is is fixed.

One more question. the dell monitor is full HD. at this configuration can I play games in HD? how is overall windows experiance in HD? I have not deal with HD yet. i like that monitor very much which dfmg suggested. if prce difference is not much in 20" and 22" i would go for 22". is there any monitor at same or close spec in 20" from dell? what could be the price of it?

BMG ftw!!
The only difference between i5-3450 and i5-3550 is later one is 200MHz faster than the previous one @stock.
If you think that spending 1K extra on a 200MHz faster processor (at stock) is justified, then buy 3550. :)

what is the difference between the asus motherboard and gigabyte motherboard? what is the benifits?

Good Gigabyte H77 motherboard isn't available in India at this moment.

I will hardly use dual graphics card. what i want to know is above mother boards will crossfire with integrated gpu or not when i install another gpu?
You need to install two graphic cards.

I understand why you recommend that cabinet, no doubt it is good at that price but its too dull visually. I saw some moded cabby with led lights and i have fallen love with them. I wish if it possible to get something like that.(call me crazy or what). I have no idea though which model it was or what mod they made.

There is a difference between good performing and performance chassis. You should buy such a chassis which can accommodate a good long graphics card without removing HDD cages, have cable management feature and above all, have good airflow.
Another way to get a good looking chassis would be to get a good performing (not that good looking) chassi and install some LED fan, cathode tube, LED strip etc.
Sounds good? ;)

^^i5 3550 has 200MHz faster stock and turbo clock than i5 3450.

GIGABYTE GA-H77-DS3H is available for around 6.8k and is a good option. It supports Crossfirex but lacks SLI.
Unless one requires SLI,there is no reason to spend 2k more on a h77 motherboard.

^ Sorry, edited.
About H77-DS3H: is it available everywhere?
If yes, then it is a good board for single card config.

@d6bmg it is available here. single card? it seems like it have multi gpu with crossfire.

Everything has been fixed except the motherboard and cabby.

Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H Motherboard vs Intel DH77EB Motherboard vs ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP Motherboard vs ASUS P8H77-M PRO Motherboard: Compare Motherboards: Flipkart.com
that was what final choosing. I am confused about between gigabyte and asus one (left asrock and intel one). price different is quite a lot between asus and gigabyte. also asus is feature heavy. but what i am worried about is if i am not going to use most of its feature it will be waste of money 3k approx. confused what to do.

Suggest any other cabinets please. along with you already mentioned the features i want dust filter, usb 3 port and side window panel also. i belive the mods i had seen has side window panel where they decorated with leds. and also please specify how much can cathode tube, led can costs. will be sufficient to power up those with 430W psu? how many fans will i need to keep this rig cool? I dont want a cabinet that has loads of feature i am not going to use ever, but still scope to upgrade in future if needs arises also i want pleasable when you look at it. I will not buy cabinet every time if i make a upgrade to pc.around 4k will be nice. I hope i made my point.

well if someone wishes to spend 1K extra, why not, there is something called "feel good factor". And if after buying something like this, if you do not have that then it is already a waste LOL.
and 3550's performance justifies its 1K extra cost; not everyone can buy something and dump it the other day just to keep himself/herself updated with the latest technological advancements in hardware.

@bong there are quiet a few monitors available in the market which are rated Full HD, from Dell as well as BenQ. 2350 or 2450 do not remember exact model number (I am sure someone will give you the exact model number from TDF) which is a VA panel costs around 8-9K which can also be a good choice.
All these displays which you see in the market are HD panels so obviously it is always recommended to get bigger screen size into your budget. Only thing I check is the port availability for DVI and HDMI, panel be LED.
you can check the prices and available model of Dell panels from SMCInternational's site before you check locally. Her's the link
Dell ST2220M Full HD Widescreen with LED
and their Erodov's posting
Monitors : New Range of Dell LCD/LED Monitors at Flat Shipping Rates
and I would say
ST2220L 21.5" LED WITH DVI HDMI Rs 8350

you can check BenQ panels *www.smcinternational.in/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=65&Itemid=95

check this other comparision of boards in 10K range *www.flipkart.com/motherboards/comp...QH4UVGGYSMP,MBDD8B8VKSWAZBGN,MBDD8QH4WRPYYKPU

now the gigabyte board costs what - 7K where Asus boaard costs 10.5K, so there is wide difference. what extra you get is 2 FireWire ports, IMO it is better to get Z77 boards in same price.
Do not make yourself confused here, be objective about the price and think accordingly
there is corsair 400 R cabinet as well *www.flipkart.com/cabinets/compare?...BYGYYF6U4HP,CABD5XZY4SC3VQ2C,CABD5XZYGXKPTZD5
except it is priced more.

Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-H77-DS3H
Cabinet - Corsair 400R

Since you are not gonna overclock a extra 200Mhz makes a lot of sense for a little extra. So get the i5 3550. Dont confuse yourself for nothing.

Talking about availability in Kolkata, I really have no idea. You need to go to the shop & check the availability.
And 4K chassis?
You will get Corsair 300R @2.8K
You may even get Corsair 400R @4.4K (if you can find old stock) [Check Vedant]

corsair 400 r is also a nice cabinet and heared about it alot. will it worth the money? also it does not have window. Is there any chance of geting a window cabby with good performance in that range? also if is their possibilites of window moded corsair 400r?

@acewin yes i will go for that dell monitor. i liked it.
yes but z77? what can be the benifit of geting that for a non overclocker like me?

btw what is the beinfit of HDMI?

hdmi and dvi are the same, except hdmi also carries sound signal, so if your output device (tv, monitor, etc) has a speaker, hdmi connection will enable it to output sound. useful for tv's, not so much for monitors.

also., for some reason, hdmi cables are more expensive than dvi cables. beats me.

in case you want digital output to be provided to monitor you have 2 options
DVI and HDMI
DVI is specifically for video, hence a video port
HDMI transfers both audio as well as video, in case you want to view and hear from the speakers provided by the monitor you need that. any how this is very important in case you are buying TVs or better displays

exactly same as what doomgiver stated

A side acrylic cabinet window wont help you in Kolkata summers but two 120mm side fans will. So stick with the 400R a good cabinet helps a lot to make your components stay cool and work at its optimum levels. And more over it is this very cabinet that will last you more than two builds or 8 years as I always say.So dont skimp.

Edit : The other option with both side fans and an acrylic window is the Antec 1100, but is an expensive option at Rs 7000 approx or more.

400R is worth spending money. Very good chassis. And you won't find any transparent side panel for 400R as they are not available.

yes but z77? what can be the benifit of geting that for a non overclocker like me?

No overclocking = no benefit of z77 over h77 for any kind of work.

btw what is the beinfit of HDMI?

DVI and HDMi are digital connection.
Simply speaking HDMI = Video + audio.

Pocessor: Intel i5-3550
Mother board: GIGABYTE GA-H77-DS3H
PSU: Corsair 500 cxv2
Monitor: Dell ST2220L 22"
Cabinet: Corsair 400 R
HDD: WD Blue 72000RPM 3gb/s 500GB
RAM: G-skills RipjawsX 1x4GB

This is the final rig i came up. will start buying from tomorrow or day after tomorrow. how is it now?

**Some fine tuning sugetions needed
WD Green are best to be used as secondary HDD will it be problemtic to use it as primary drive or using black drives? green
drives are cheaper and black one are faster but blue one is reliable. just want to be sure my choice is on right track. or should i go with segate? it seems more cheaper? I have heared some issues with segate though my previous seagete hdd serving me since 8 years

It seems 6GB/s interface are not as effective as SDD so i choose to go with 3g/s

Newegg PSU calculation takes the the power to above 430w. it took 431W with more 4 gb ram and a hd7850 gPU. yes i am not using those but in future it more likely to be added and i dont want to but another psu that time. apart from that i may use more HDD in future which could take more W. So i choosed 500W as corsair have not any psu between 430-500W.

Corsair 400R seems good in that budget i will go with it now. I will go with an side window or morelater over it i am interested to get an custom acrylic cabinet later .after reading quite a few resource i am interested to make it from scratch in near future (but that is different story). BTW how is haf922? price seems same for both. and how is ha912?

Can someone give an estimation of above rig please? better would be a price estimation of kolkata. i guess getting the products directly from the dealer will save some money. I have located few dealer of those manufacturer around here. what do you think?
