Since you wont overclock, there is no need for a unlocked 'k-model'.
<Intel core i7 2600 @ Rs.14900
<Intel DH67-BL-B3/Gigabyte H67-M-D2-B3 @ Rs.5400
<G.Skill F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL @ Rs.2400
<Seagate 1TB 7200.12 @ Rs.2600
<Corsair VX450 @ Rs.3500
<NZXT Gamma @ Rs.2000
<MSI R5770 PMD1G @ Rs. 7000
<Logitech KB + Mouse @ Rs.650

Total = Rs.38450/-

IMO, get a i7 2600 along with a gpu (here i suggested 5770). It is more than enough for your needs (i think you are not a hardcore gamer).
Also if you want the k-model , you have to buy a dedicated graphics card (P67 motherboards dont have onboard graphics) which overshoots your budget.
The choice is yours.

Hi Guys,

I am ready to extend my bydget to get a intel i7 2600k.
The reason for this is that i5 2500k does not have ht technology(does this make a huge difference).
What is the cost of 2tb hardisk.

I do not need a ups and graphics card for now.

Thanks.

Hi Shripal

Sadly, if you decide to get a P67 motherboard, then you will have to buy a GPU as the P67 doesn't allow access to the HD Graphics chip on the sandy processors.

If you buy the H67 motherboard, which will allow you to use the onboard graphics, then you won't be able to overclock.

You will have to choose either one, or wait for the z68 motherboards to come out.

If I can make a suggestion, since you've specified in post 1 that you aren't planning to overclock and are most interested in games, the 2600K would be overkill. The hyper threading is more useful for programming and video/audio editing. It would be like buying a ferrari, to drive inside the city :)

the 2500 or even a 2400 CPU is more than enough for your needs, and the amount of money you'll save by going in for a H67 mobo will let you buy a good graphics card, which is more important for gaming, than the CPU itself.

We can help you out either way, with suggestions.

^^Same way you trust Intel Processor, you can go ahead with FSP Saga 2 also.

But carefully while deciding the PSU, as i told earlier, check which GPU you wanna buy.

Guys,
I am confused. :(
'P67 doesn't allow access to the HD Graphics chip on the sandy motherboards.'
Does this mean that i will not be able to use all features of the mobo.

Which mobo is more powerfulL (futureproof) P67 or H67?

My mistake. I meant to say HD Graphics on sandy processors.

All Sandy bridge CPUs come with on die graphics units. but to use the integrated graphics, you will use the h67 mobo.

But if you need to OC, then most likely you're the sort of person who would be using a dedicated graphics card. hence, you wouldn't rely on the onboard graphics.

that was Intel's lousy reasoning.

both are futureproof, if such a thing exists for PCs. P67 is more powerful in the sense that it allows you to overclock the K processors, which is what they're meant to do..

Least Expensive Graphics Card:

XFX Nvidia 8400GS
XFX GF-8400GS NVIDIA 512MB DDR2 Graphic Card - Model PV-T86S-YHL3 ― Lynx - The Audio , Electronics And Computer Online Store In India

This graphics card is not as good as the On Die Gpu so Its better to go with Z68 as they allow both On Die and Discrete Gpu.
To make it simpler they are P67&H67 Combined

Recommended Build:
Intel Core i7 2600K - Rs 15700
Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 - Rs 12800
Corsair 4 GB DDR3 - Rs 2400
Corsair CX 400 - Rs 2800
WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - Rs 1700
CM Elite 430 - Rs 2500
Total : Rs 38000/-

Its a Pre Order but Z68 Chipsets will release in 2 weeks time.By that time only OP is going to purchase his PC
