If you can extend budget a little, get a Samsung P2370 monitor. Good quality monitor as your PC is for animation

i already read many threads about configs so i have some questions
1. if i don't want to overclock, then which proc is better, i5 2500 or i5 2500k?
2. how much performance increase will i get if i go from i5 2500k to i7 2600k for my uses
3. mostly suggest ASUS P8H67, but i found it have different versions, which versions are available in india and what's the differance in them?
4. do i need cpu coller?

1. please tell clearly whether you are interested in oc or not?
2. 2600k will perform better
3. get intel one. no need to spend more.
4. no

Jas 4GB is enough for Animation as animator have to manually key the models , 8GB is required if OP is working on high end VFX applications for simulation , like realflow, maya max +plugins etc, correct me if I am wrong.

OP has to invest extra on WIndows 7 64 if he gets 8 gigs of RAM

I feel 4 GB ram should suffice

That config should do well although for PSU I reccomend a Corsair VX450 @3.5 k

1. i will be giving this PC to my brother. As he have no knowledge of overclocking, he will not try it. but at some time he needed more performance, he can go for auto overclocking offered by motherboards
2. defiantly i7 2600k will perform better, but what i want to know how much performance boost i will get. technically i want to know this (performance of 2600k)/(performance of 2500k)
3. mobo should perform good for my use ( animation), don't care is it from asus or intel
4. Will use linux just for learning, so linux is not a criteria for choosing graphics card

will be used for blender, maya and other animation software ( i have no knowledge of them) if motherboard have 4 dimms, then i will go with 2x2 gb for now and will upgrade later as per requirement, if 2 dimm then 2x4 gb

i already have genuine windows 7 64 bit :) also both 32 and 64 bit have same serial key, will go with reuirement

Go with jaskanwar's configuration. Its best for you. 2600 is much faster than 2500 and also has hyperthreading. Maya and others will benefit from this.

About gpu , my recommendation is the gtx 560. But you can also go for 6950 1gb.

intel mobo is good one.
