I bought 7750 BE because I admire AMD and I want to be one of those (millions) that keep the company running. :)


yes, there is a possibility that 7750BE could be unsold 9xx0 series and there are ways to unlock other 2 cores of 7750BE :)

also, I can get a Phenom II X4 or X3 without changing the mobo and ram. That in my opinion is an option that I won't get if I buy E5200 as Intel is getting ready to move to new socket :)

Unlocked ( 4 cores enabled ) 7750 B.E. 3DMark06 CPU Score = 4288

Normal 7750 B.E 3DMark06 CPU Score = 2463

BTW, Here is the score of Guru3D :

7750 B.E. Normal : 2138
7750 B.E. Oced to 3.2Ghz : 2475

Phenom 9950 : 4005

Wow, the unlocked X2 7750 B.E. does better than a 9950 B.E. Oh well obviously, FX-7750 B.E. is a 2.7GHz procc.
 
there are rumours that this is false. you need to apparently set hyper transport to a certain value to unlock or something. 7750be only gets unlocked to 3 cores on most boards apparently. will confirm later.
