Hi,

I am going to upgrade my PC.

Can some one suggest a configuration that is available at

Lynx Chandigarh - Largest Audio , Electronic And Computer Online Superstore In India

Presently i am using Intel Core2Duo E4500 with 2 GB ram.

I will use exiting monitor, keyboard and mouse. Only want to buy motherboard, cpu, ram and power supply. May be a cabinet too. I am now using iball cabinet.

I prefer Intel CPU's. I used AND 64 some years back after seeing its review on digit (some 2 or 3 years back, i think it was when 64 bit comes out first), i had many problem with it.

Thanks,

Chris

budget is not a problem, i do have some fund in paypal, so want to purchase with paypal, that is why i selected lynx-india. If anyone have different provider that accept paypal, let me know.

I mostly use my pc for browsing, some video editing. I don't play games much (may because i don't have a graphics card). I have GTA SA, i play RuneScape. I may need a small graphic card that won't use lot of power (my current UPS give me 1 hour backup time, don't want it get used up in 15 mins).

I think i will get a Intel i7 or i5.

If i go with CPU Core i-5 760, can you please recommend a good mother board for this ?

I found a configuration from another site, placed order for following

ntel Core i5 760 Processor - Model BX80605I5760
MSI I ntel Motherboard - Model P55-GD65
Corsair DDR-III Memory 4GB - Model CMX4GX3M1A1600C9

if onboard graphics then i3 or i5 6** + H55/H57 or i3/i5/i7 (2nd gen Core is) + H67.

yes you can use. the graphics in the processor will be turned off.

H55/H57/H67 are mother board models ? Which company ?

they are chipsets, a chip made by Intel & used by Intel as well as other motherboard manufacturers in their boards. without it processor can't be used.

This motherboard have built in graphics ?

processor have the graphics (only Core i3 & Core i5 6**. Core i5 750- Core i7s have no graphics) & so access it you need a board based on H55/H57 or H67 (currently available all Sandy bridge processors have graphics i.e. i3 2***, i5 2***, i7 2***).

also H** based boards have video out i.e. HDMI, VGA, DVI, etc. P55 or P67 have no video out. so a graphics card is needed even to use the PC.

no no no.that mobo is not at all required. and that processor is just a waste IMO.

for the much less price you can get much better amd config with much better onboard graphics.

AMD Phenom II x6 1090t @ 10k
Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H @ 4.3k

the ram and power supply are fine.

trust me amd gives no problem. most of us use it and it rocks!
that very very old ones might be bad.
