1. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that)
A: Solely Internet based Work and MS OFFICE APPS. Computer will not run more than 3 hour a day and is for the most low end works.
2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes
3. What is your MAX budget?
A: Rs 15000(Too tight on budget but a PC is needed urgently for internet based work for study purposes)
4. Planning to overclock?
A: No
5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Windows XP SP3
6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 250 GB max..
7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want?
A: A normal resolution.. at the most 15" will do.
8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 6
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Yeah did mine few days back. This is for one of my relative, though.
10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: Within the next 10 days.
11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: NO
12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: NO Want all including UPS.,
13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Kolkata. No will buy from Kolkata only
14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A:I don't need good Cabinets or PSU's. I've shortlisted the Iball Cabby which includes in built SMPS. It has a 3 year warranty term so wouldn't be any problem, I hope.
I have shortlisted some components which are as follows, please advise.
CPU – AMD Athlon II X2 240 or equivalent
ASUS M2n68 A PLUS.
1 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD. Iball Cabby(Rs 1250/-)
Need advise of the other products- Monitor, UPS.

where you able find 2Gb DDR3 for 1.2k? also APC 550VA cost around 1.8k.
