Need help selling old hardware

Part Troll
Hi,

I've just recently (finally!) jumped onto the Quad-core bandwagon, and now I'm left staring at my ancient P4 config. I am thinking of selling off the CPU alone for a few thousands.

My config -

Processor - Intel Pentium 4 2.80A Ghz
Motherboard - Intel D845GVSR (Chipset - Intel 845GEV (Brookdale-GEV) + ICH4)
On-board Graphics - Intel 82845G/GL/GV Graphics Controller
RAM - Two Transcend 512 MB DDR Memory sticks.

Also included in the cabinet are, a 1394 adapter and a D-Link Ethernet adapter. Overall the components are between 4-5 years old.

I know it's not much, but the system runs like it's supposed to for this config, save for a few occasional display adapter hiccups. Can someone tell me what price I should quote? If I do find a buyer, that is.

not more than 4k. but sell by part, you'll get more. specially the ram stick will bring in a good amount of cash as DDR is no longer available. but still some users search for one.

Exactly.

If you want to get rid of it all at once , you will get less than 3k for it.

But many people want stuff like DDR RAM , small sized HDD etc etc , soyou might get more if you get to sell them off individually , although that will require lot of time and work :(
