Need help on Budget Gaming Rig!!!

RiGOD

SoLa BeLLaToR...
I'm planning to build a mid range gaming rig around Rs.55000. Is this configuration good enough?

Intel Core i5 2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
Intel DH67BL / MSI H67MA-E35/ ASUS P8H67-M LX
Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6870
2 x G Skill DDR3 4 GB (1333 MHz)
Cooler Master Elite 311 Plus
Corsair GS600
Asus DRW-24B3ST
Microsoft KB+Mouse
Dell 20 Inch WideScreen HD LED
F&D A-520 2.1 Speakers
600 VA UPS

*Got no plan to Over Clock

*Intel DH67BL bad for gaming? Is MSI H67MA-E35 or ASUS P8H67-M LX better? (Really need some help here)

*Chose a smaller monitor so that I can run the games in full resolution in the coming years. Is that good or what?

*Is GTX 560Ti a better option?

*Kindly answer all my queries.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming - Crysis 2, BF3, Dirt, GTA IV and upcoming games. And for watching movies.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: RS.55000 (Maximun - Rs.60000)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Never Ever

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Win 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: None.Already have 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: A good and cheap 21.5" LED.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: HDD only.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Can wait till Q2.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes I have. Twice.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Trivandrum. Can buy online if unavailable.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I've already posted a configuration above. I'm really confused with the motherboard and GPU. Should I go for Intel or MSI or ASUS? And GPU, 6870, GTX560TI or HD6950? Going for an 18.5" monitor is good or what?

^^ The config Jas has given is perfect for you. Since you're reusing the HDD, you can get i5 2500 with that money. BTW, the HDD should be a SATA one as the new Intel motherboards don't provide any IDE or PATA connectors.

Regarding Graphics card, I suggest you to wait a little until the release of AMD HD 7800 series.

Okay cool. BTW I can wait till July at most. Any chance that HD 7800 series will roll out before that? And will there be any price hike in the components or what?

^^ expect the release of some refreshed processor like i5 2510 or 2520 with higher clock at same price. HD7800 series should be available by July as HD7700 series is already released. so expect HD7800 release next month.

grab a 1KVa or at least 800VA UPS to get somebackup. that 560 needs a lot of juice and by the time you enter idle, the UPS will already be dead.

RiGOD, spending 12K on a GTX 560 non Ti version is not a good idea. You can spend 1.4K more and get the MSI N560GTX-Ti-M2D1GD5/OC card from SMC, which is a far better performer.
Othrwise, get the MSI N560GTX-M2D1GD5 @ 10.7K (from SMC)

That's a nice suggestion. BTW will there be a Kepler in this price range and any clue about its release date? I've got time time April-May.

So which will be the cheapest but reliable brand that I can go for? I'll need a backup of some 5-10 minutes to save the data and shut down.

I think you should buy an 6950 rather than a GTX560 as it is more powerful.Or you can wait for kelper to come in market...

what do you suggest between 560Ti and HD 6950 1 GB.
I was just checking anandtech gpu bench, some games like Crysis, Metro 2033, Elder Schrolls V favour AMD Cards while Civ 5, Dirt 3, Starcraft II favour Nvidia Cards. why is this.

For maxing out at 1600x900 a GTX 560 enough I guess. But as I can extend my budget a bit more I might be going for MSI N560GTX-Ti-M2D1GD5/OC. The 6950 will be an overkill for my requirement.
