need advice buyin card

Ans: i7 2600, gskill 4gbx2 DDR3 , asus p8h77-v,quadrofx 580


Now i could play almost games at medium level graphics detail..

wat i need now is 2 experience the SLI technology by buyin 2 cards..
am an animator when i use gamin card i can feel the lag ( thats y i ended up with a quadrofx 580 for more than 2 years now(512mb costed me 12k))

is it possible to link a quadro card with another nvidia gaming card?
if yes suggest me 2 cards within the budget..
i medium level of detail for gaming s lower limit.

NO. You cannot use two dissimilar cards together in SLI (or crossfire in case of AMD).

am ready to leave the quadro fx 580..
can two good gaming card giving me better performance than this quadro for maya animation..
i dont model or light/texture n render in maya.. only animation...

Get GTX 760 from Zotac. It is around 20K. In Maya, it does have good performance and I think better than your Workstation quadro card.

Get a powerful gaming card like a 680 or 770. The workstation cards are better in Maya than gaming cards, but powerful gaming cards can hold on their own while rendering in open-gl.
I know its out of your budget, but we can't say how the 760 will perform in rendering. If budget is a big issue, then stick with the 760. Since it shares the same Kepler architecture as of 680 and 770, it should inherently perform decently and give you a large boost in gaming performance as well.

am happy with this quadro now am having.. it dont need extra power or wont heat up lik gamin cards..
i wanna feel the new experience now..

i ll consider 760..

i don know if am rite, can a 2 cards costing around 10k do better than a 760.. by anyway??

They probably can, but you'll not be able to use both cards in Maya AFAIK.
