i need to convert a wav file to a mp3 file. i recorded the wav file thru jetaudio...pls suggest a software which can convert wav to mp3...

Try Audacity..its free'
There is also Audio catalyst or somethign like tht..
But Audacity just rocks..for all kinds fo Audio files..and u can record from it too also use Line in!

I agree. Its a lovely software and free too. It can conver from and to many formats. MP3 is a proprietory format. It can also convert to an open format call ogg-vorbis. Digit has given this software many times on its CD. No need to download. This software also includes a CD-ripper for converting audio CDs to MP3s/WAV/Ogg
