Sumatra is pretty good but Foxit has some basic editing and selection features without which I can't live so I prefer Foxit Reader.

though this is irrelevant to this thread and if you guys don't criticize me ;-) I can vouch for Acrobat Reader 11 - it's a lot faster, smoother and better than any previous version.

my reason for preferring sumatra besides its small footprint is security.a few years ago there was a security vulnerability discovered in the way pdf file preview is generated which allow execution of code even by just single click to select the modified pdf file(not even double-click) & almost all pdf readers were affected(including foxit newest versions but not older versions) except sumatra & a few obscure ones.since pdf is a good exploit target along with ms office documents it is better to use small & not so popular pdf reader like sumatra because popular ones always gets targeted first & also because of their ever increasing feature set.

Agree. Also for compatibility reasons, I always keep Adobe installed at least on one system.

But it still creates the useless desktop shortcut. ;)
