Go for the N82. The N95 is old now. yea all 3.5 mm standard earphones will work with the N82 OOTB.

And so I bought the N82. I don't understand what the furore was bt the hard keypad in some reviews. But neways the camera is fantabulous, wifi works without any pauses while watching youtube on the same 256 kbps connections that give pauses on PCs. Since I have audiophile ears and m used to 5.1 surround sound, I would say Sound Quality is fine. Lets see how I can use this to its full potential. Video conferencing, VOIP perhaps?
