Sainatarajan go with hd7950.
MSI R7950-2PMD3GD5/OC is available at smcinternational.in for 25.9k

As you have a locked CPU(95W TDP) so your psu,GS500 would easily handle hd7950.There's enough headroom for you to overclock also.

In both the cases an overclocked i7(920 & 2600k) is used.
Still it is not touching 450watts.
Your's is a locked processor with 95W TDP.So it should be fine even if you overclock

I totally second that. That card is the best option present available in India.
@OP: Couldn't you possibily wait for 1-2 more months before buying? You may get some custom PCB version of 7950 or even custom GTX670.

You can obviously get that. But which his model are you talking about. If its the 3-slot iceq model, then get it. Otherwise you are better off with the msi one.

Don't buy non custom cooled version/get at least a twin fan version
The msi one is clocked at 830, 7950 has great OC potential and can reach 1000mhz w/o Voltage tweak.
So if you buy a 7950 make sure to OC it, if you want to keep things stock get a 7870 cause the difference ain't much bet'n stock 7870 and 7950 and then the 7870 poses more Value
7950 has good scaling and can increase its clock by upto 40%+ and FPS by 30%+ over stock.

Just wait for another 15-20 days,
AMD is slashing the prices for 7870/7950/7970 Today by 50$ each.
20 days for the price cut to reach here. 670 is not going to drop prices any soon, so you may get a good Custom Cooled version of 7950 below the 25k mark. Just crank that 7950 up and see it go past a stock 7970.
