Why the fuss???
For those antivirus softwares which has 64-bit versions available, install the 64-bit versions and if not available install the 32-bit versions. 32-bit AV won't install in 64-bit system only if a 64-bit version of that AV is separately available. As simple as that.

These security suits have 64-bit versions, thats why they are stopping users from their 32-bit suits That doesn't mean 32 bit antivirus will create any problem.

Free antiviruses like avast and avira are still on 32-bit, that dosen't mean they are incompatible or not recomended on 64-bit windows.

at-least AVG Free has 64 bit edition available
