My first laptop

i am about to enroll in an engineering college and need a laptop..
budget around 35 to 40k. may be stretched by 1k
screen size 15 to 16"
i like the brands asus and acer. i do not dislike any particular brand.
primary tasks include web surfing, watching movies and reading ebooks.
i am a very casual gamer.
the occasional fifa or cod game.
i will be using this for long hours so i would prefer a screen that doesnt cause too much strain on my eyes.
a large hard drive is welcome.
i dont need preinstalled os and am willing to wait for around 3 or 4 months if any major upgrades are expected.
lastly, i am perfectly willing to buy it online if i get a good deal.

Wait for Ivy Bridge (3rd gen Core i processor) based i5 to appear. Those will be sufficient for your work and will cost less.

Although you can get a good lappy even now, I will suggest you to wait for Trinity/IB. You will most probably end up saving 5k bucks at least.

Samsung NP300E5Z-S08IN is a very good option
Or you can also consider Asus X53SC-SX492D
These are the best option if you want to buy a laptop now, or else you can wait.
