Man puts wife for sale, buyers ask for installments payment

A Romanian man has put his 25-year-old wife up for sale on a website specialising in used cars.

Alex Cretu, 20, who lives in Bucharest, hoped to get around £4m but has lowered his price to £3,000 for a quick sale.

His ad on www.okazii.ro reads: "Wife for sale. Model 1983, good condition. Full option, nice suspensions, spacious boot, second owner. Price is negotiable, comes with three-year-old and five-year-old accessories. Seriousness demanded."

He had received a number of offers but none were acceptable so far as the potential purchasers either offered too low a price. He was also angry that many buyers wanted to buy her in easy monthly installments

Jealous husband Paul Osborn placed the ad of his wife Sharon under the not entirely euphemistic title 'Sharon Osborn, adulterous, lying, cheating B*TCH WH*RE', accompanied by a none too flattering photo of the aforementioned Mrs Osborn.

Mr Osborn told the Queen's purveyors of truth over at The Sun that he flew into a fit of rage after reading his wife's emails to her alleged lover and decided in the spur of the moment to put her under the online hammer. Bids for La Osborn reached a staggering £500,000 before the advert was removed. But thanks to the magic of internet it will never die.
