Wait for experts to comment but couple of personal view,

Since the PC is for mainly entertainment purpose and gaming, then why not a Pentium Dual Core G645 processor along with a better GPU like ATI Redeon HD7770 ??

Regarding PSU, Corsair VS450 would be there in 2k region and good for the system :p

That config you have posted was suggested by me for someone with a complete different requirement. Your situation is different, your need dosnt require a very cpu intensive rig rather a Pentium 645 with a 7750 is enough. And change that Motherboard to a Gigabyte B75D3H

^^^
Then better to increase the budget as it wont be a wise decision to cut down in GPU further.

have a look at my config...
i was in exact same situation like you. only difference in my case was that i had speakers. I wud suggest you strongly to go wid my config as it fits ur budget, very close to wat you concluding to, and i too have bought it thru Prime ABGB, but mumbai..
i3-3220 + Gigabyte B75M-D3H = 12000 (USB 3.0 + Windoes 8 Support + 3rd gen processor)
Gskill Ripjaws 4GB/8GB = 1400/2500 (With Heatsink)
Corsair cx430v2/cx450v2 =~ 2500
Cabinet NZXT Source Elite = 2500
HDD Seagate 500/1TB/2TB = as per ur requirement. I've 2TB @6000
ROM LG = 950
Monitor Dell ST2220L = 8500
All Prices are approx as per Oct 2012, Mumbai.
DO NOT COMPROMISE ON CABINET AND PSU
if its difficult to extend ur budget, like me, yo can go with what i've mentioned above and get a gooood GPU later on.
You'l hav literally a good rig. TRUST ME.
However deciion is urs
