Thanks a lot guys. So here is the configuration I could sum up so far based on your reviews. Almost there..

*******
CPU: fx 8350-12.5k
MotherBoard: MSI 990FX-GD65 / Asus M5A97 @ 6.6K /
RAM: corsair value- 8GB (2 X 8 GB)Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz stick @ 2.7K X 2 (Flipkart)
PSU: corsair cx 430v2-2.2k
Cabinet: Cooler Master elite 430-3k
GPU: Gigabyte/Sapphire HD 7850 2 GB
********

1. I can spend little more on MSI 990FX-GD65 if it is only the cost factor. If Asus M5A97 will serve my needs then I will ok with that too. Yes I wont be doing gaming but multi-tasking a lot and probably run virtual machine all the time.

2. Also which GPU out of Gigabyte/Sapphire HD 7850 2 GB you guys recommend?

I was checking the smcinternational.in site for these components. Guys I just want to be sure that I am not going to buy wrong model from nehru place.

AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket

MSI 990FXA-GD65 Motherboard

I could not find corsair cx 430v2, Cooler Master elite 430 on the site but I am sure I will get it in Nehru Place. Yes I will compare the prices before buying.

.
1.Asus M5A97 is fine. Suits your needs.

2. Get the Sapphire HD7850 2GB @ ~14k

Also, I don't think you'll be able to find CX430V2 at Nehru Place. Get it from flipkart @ 2.7k.
Also change the cabinet to NZXT Source 210 Elite (One of my favourites for budget builds)

And the RAM which you have to buy is Corsair Vengeance, not Corsair Value. Keep that in mind.

Go with the sapphire variant
On the mobo side you just check the no of ram slots on the motherboard rest of the config is fine

Unfortunately I don't know how to assemble a PC. I can attach other components like RAM, GPU but need help in getting mobo, cpu, psu assembled.

But you have suggested him i5 3470, not 3570K.

Now regarding the review you have posted, I was taken aback by the results, especially in Media Encoding using Handbrake. Also was hurt a little as someone called me a FanBoy for the 1st time. In this Bit-Tech review, FX-8350 was badly beaten by all i5 processors, even by i5 2400. So I tried the other sites like Tomshardware, Anandtech and Guru3d.

Here are the results:-

somebodysme , I guess you understand now why we rely upon some trusted site, not any sites who can publish a review in Web site.

Clius just go through full review form Tomshardware I am not saying its better than I5 in benchmarks but at what cost see power consumption and all.

. I went through it several times. Now it is your turn. Read it and try to understand it.

When no gaming but lot of editing, why not giving ATI FirePro v4800 a try. Rs. 10k I guess !!!

Try this,

AMD FX8350 @ Rs. 12,000.00
Moterboard Gigabyte or MSI 990FX Series @ Rs. 9,000.00
G.Skill RipJaws 16 GB (8x2) 1600 MHz DDR-III @ Rs. 6,300.00
Sharphire ATI FirePro v4800 1GB GDDR5 @ Rs. 10,000.00
WD Green 1TB @ Rs. 4,200.00
DVD RW @ Rs. 800.00
Cooler Master 212 @ Rs. 2,000.00
Corsair cx430 @ Rs. 2,500.00
Keyboard Mouse @ Rs. 500.00
Local UPS @ Rs. 1,600.00

Should come at around 50k (a couple of more if purchased online :p)

thanks but I am ready extend the budget little bit. I dont need DVD, UPS, keyboard, mouse. I also liked the NZXT Source 210 Elite cabinet, probably go for that..

right now my concern is how will I assemble it. I would try in Nehru Place first, hoping that some vendor will have most of these components - atleast cabinet, motherboard, cpu and psu...otherwise I will have to learn how to assemble - I assembled pc back in 1999 :p

Buddy, after purchasing all the components, you can take it to any local computer shops, not necessarily in Nehru Place. I think they'll charge 300/400 bucks for the assembling.

I think in that case you can accommodate the Core i7 3770. Have a look at this.

Intel Core i7 3770 @ Rs. 17,500.00
Intel DH77EB @ Rs. 6,500.00
G.Skill RipJaws 1600 MHz 16 (8x2) GB DDR3 @ Rs. 6,400.00
WD Green 1TB @ Rs. 4,200.00
ATI FirePro v4800 @ Rs. 10,000.00
Cabinet @ Rs. 2,000.00
Corsair cx430 @ Rs. 2,600.00

should be around your 50k (+- couple of thousand) budget :D

One more suggestion, its winter so no problem but Delhi will go really hot in summer also, so try to buy a cooler for the CPU also, since Intel default HSF aint that good :p. No needed if your computer room is having A/C :D or in a relatively cooler place :)

aa buddy @ naxal it was specifically aforementioned by cilus and others that the fx 8350 is specifically designed to meet the the ops needs and also its cheaper so its the obvious choice

^^^

Indeed the AMD Fx8350 is cheaper, no point denying that. But sorry, I think in performance terms, at every segment Core i7 3770 will out perform the FX8350 in desktop segment.

FX8350 would have been a better choice over Core i5 but I dont think, if one can accommodate the Core i7 3770, should opt for AMD FX.

Anyway, since OP started the thread with desire for a i7, hence I wrote as I found the budget can accommodate the i7

Thanks for the suggestion....I think I already made my mind with the following parts.

AMD fx 8350 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo)
MSI 990FX-GD65
2 X 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz
corsair cx 430v2
NZXT Source 210 Elite
Sapphire HD 7850 2 GB

I think it should be around 45k or something. I will be going to Nehru Place this Friday to get the prices and possibly buy it soon. I hope I get all the parts there.

@OP : i suggest you go for seasonic Sii 520 watts or corsair GS 600 or Corsair TX 650
Seasonic Sii 520 is better than Corsair CX or VS 500 though it is a little expensive
